We had found a new routine. One I knew they were okay with, even if they missed sharing an office together and all the extra-curricular activities we would indulge in at lunch or after a long day of work.

But now that routine was about to be wiped away.

Seven months ago, we had started talking about the possibility of growing our family, and I had gone off birth control. But after a couple of months of nothing happening, they stopped bringing it up.

A baby.

That had been the only thing missing between us. We were a family and happy. I had no doubt about that or the way they loved me. But part of me wondered if they stopped bringing it up because they had changed their minds. I’d been shooing away the thought since I took a test three days ago and had it confirmed today at a doctor’s appointment.

I’d been sure they’d be happy about a baby. But the tight dress comment threw me off. If he thought it was right now, it was going to be a lot tighter in a couple of weeks.

“You’re a fucking idiot,” Fox growled at Carey. Fox was standing flush up against me, and I didn’t have to look at my side when another hard body brushed my shoulder to know it was Ronan. I glanced up at him. He was watching me.

Quietly.

Almost worriedly.

Those deep brown eyes, his lips set firmly as his stache rested fully above it. He’d never shaved the mustache. No matter how much crap the other two gave him. One time, a little before we got married, I’d asked him about it. He told me he knew personally how much I enjoyed it when I rode his face, how much wetter I got when he had it and how much he loved being able to smell me. There was no way he’d ever shave it.

“You’re beautiful, baby girl, too fucking gorgeous. That’s what Carey meant.”

“I did.” He groaned. “I was jealous. I’m so fucking sorry.” He rested his forehead against mine. “I don’t like the idea of anyone possibly seeing you like this,” Carey admitted gruffly. “I didn’t mean it in a bad way.”

Logically, I knew that.

I knew firsthand how much he loved me and my body. But hormones were a bitch, and mine had been all over the place. “I know,” I sighed.

“I’m really sorry.” His fingers tipped my forehead up, and I blinked away the moisture that had started to build. Carey noticed, and his eyes widened with horror. “Don’t cry.”

“I’m going to be fat!” I blurted out and started to sob like the world’s biggest baby. I felt Fox’ hands at my hips grip my body firmer and heard Ronan growl.

“Princess, don’t cry.”

“Don’t say that! Fuck, Carey, I swear I am going to kick your ass,” Fox growled.

“Don’t do that,” I sniffled, looking over my shoulder. “This is my fault. I just…” I hesitated. This was not at all the way I wanted to tell them.

I wanted to spoil them, take care of them the way they did me. And after we had dinner and dessert, I was going to bring out a box for them that had three of the cutest little onsies that said Daddy’s My Favorite.

But I had ruined it.

“What did you ruin?” Ronan asked as his hand stroked my long hair.

“Telling you guys.”

“Telling us what, beautiful?” Carey asked, and when I didn’t answer quickly enough, Fox picked me up. My arms automatically went around his neck while he carried me toward the large oversized sectional. He sat down, and the other two sat at the edge of our very sturdy coffee table.

“What’s going on, Serena?” I opened and shut my mouth before licking my lips. I felt their eyes on my mouth, and warmth started to grow between my legs. But that was nothing new. All I had to do was think about them, and an undeniable ache started.

“A couple of months ago,” I started to say when I looked up and realized they were all watching me. That wasn’t unusual, but it was the way they were looking at me. The way the air had changed around us. There was still the electric, combustible chemistry, but now it was combined with something else. Something I couldn’t put my finger on completely.

“I went off the pill a couple of months ago,” I reminded them.

“We know, baby.” Carey nodded.

“We had a flushing them down the toilet party,” Fox reminded me.

“And a breeding session afterwards.” Ronan’s lips quirked upward.
