“Just the word principal is…scary. Not saying you need to dress like a stripper, but there is room for improvement in your wardrobe. So get your purse, we’re out of here and I’m driving.”

“Why can’t I drive,” I asked as I picked up my purse.

“Because you’ve never been to this place and it will save a lot of time if I drive,” Penny said.

“I have GPS.”

“Yes, but this eliminates the arguing along the way,” she replied.

I could easily refuse. That would mean another rummaging through my closet in hopes to find the right outfit. Not saying I was going to allow Penny to pick out my new wardrobe, but she was right. A fresh start should include a new look.

All this just for a second date. I really must be losing my mind.
