I don’t deserve that shit.

I don’t deserve her. I never have.

I know everyone’s walking on eggshells around me, trying to do everything they can to figure out where the fuck my wife is and worrying how long it’ll be before I lose my fucking mind.

I suddenly feel bad for not telling Luca when I heard from Izzy after she was kidnapped. I’m going out of my goddamn mind, so he must have felt the same. Though I can’t even bring myself to apologize, all I can think about is her.

Robyn.

My angel.

Myuccellina.

Thoughts of what she could be going through run through my mind, my emotions turbulent as I imagine every way she could bebeing hurt right now. My gut tightens at the thought of her being helpless, waiting for me to come for her.

I swear to fuck, when I find her, I’m never letting her out of my sight again. I’ll chain her to me if I have to. And fuck an external tracker, she’s getting one embedded into her goddam skin.

Nope. Actually, she’s getting three. Just to be fucking safe.

Maybe I could buy her an island like my dad bought my mom? Only we’d live there full time, have two hundred bodyguards and I’d make sure it wasn’t on any fucking map so no one could find us.

It’s either that or lock her in a tower, though I don’t think she’d be too impressed with that.

“Are we sure you haven’t pissed anyone off lately?” Alec asks as he looks up from his laptop.

“I’ve barely done any work for the family in the last couple of months, things have calmed down a hell of a lot since Luca took out Novikov and we made a deal with Munõz. The only issue we had was the Blue Vipers, but they’re a pile of fucking ash.”

“So it’s not the Cartel or Bratva. What about the Irish?”

“Nope,” Marco says before I can even open my mouth. “O’Brien has been on our good side ever since he took over for his father, and he wouldn’t allow any woman to be taken.”

Alec nods while the rest of us contemplate who else it could be.

“Are you sure all members of the Blue Vipers were there that night? There hasn’t been any activity from them online, but maybe they were lying low and building up for an attack?”

I think it over, it could be possible I suppose, but something about this just doesn’t feel right.

“Maybe. Or maybe it’s something completely unrelated to us,” Izzy says with a hard look before burying her head back in the laptop, she types away furiously with her brows pulled together.

“What are you thinking, mia regina?”Luca asks as he sits forward, leaning his elbows on his knees and running a hand over his chin as he stares at his wife.

We’re all exhausted, spending every second we can coming up with theories, torturing lower level members of the other organizations and doing everything we can to figure out where the hell my wife is.

In typical Izzy fashion, she shushes him without even looking up from the screen as she focuses on whatever the hell she’s doing. She pauses typing and bites her lips as she reads whatever’s on the screen before she pales and snaps her head up, her gaze meeting mine.

“Looks like your wife’s best friend has herself a boyfriend,” she states and sucks in a breath. “The last text she sent him was our location of the restaurant… but it’s his contact name that worries me.”

“Who is it?” I ask.

“There’s no name, only initials… J.S”

It takes me a moment for the initials to click, and when it does a fucking fire of rage slashes through my veins. There’s only one person with those initials that would take my fucking wife away from me.

Looks like I’m finally going to get that meeting I’ve been hoping for.
