"Jesus," I whisper, the knot in my stomach rapidly dissolving. She's not falling out of remission. She's pregnant again.

"Congratulations, Mama," Dr. Mathers says, beaming at my wife.

Kelsey turns to me, her expression dazed. "We're pregnant, Kris."

"Yeah, princess. We are," I whisper, cupping her cheek. "You're going to be a mommy again."

She sobs my name, crumbling in my arms.
