Page 4 of Room Thirty: Perfect Little Doll

“No. She won’t,” Ronan cut in confidently. “She wants us. She wants us like we want her. We just need to make a move.”

“But tossing her into a sex club?” Fox argued.

“It’s going to work,” I promised. They looked at one another like they didn’t believe me, but when they shrugged and turned to me, I knew I had them on my side. We were going after our perfect little doll.

Thank fuck.

“I can’t believeyou actually got to escape today.” My best friend, Coco Sanchez, smiled, and I joined her.

It had most definitely been a feat all on its own to escape from the office without one of the guys catching me and insisting to join me.

The guys?I shook my thoughts away. I had to stop thinking about them so informally. They were my bosses.

“I can’t believe it either. So… how’s it going with you know who?” I wagged my brows. Coco rolled her eyes.

“You know who is still the world’s most horrible boss.” She made a face, and we both giggled. “What about your guys?”

“My guys?” My lips twitched, and my heart flopped. “My guys are still pretty awesome bosses.”

“Hmm.” She winked, and again, we laughed. “They’re pretty awesome even though they keep you so busy you hardly have time to meet up for lunch?”

“Coco.” I groaned. “What they do is important and—"

“And admit it, they like to have you at their side.” I felt my face turn hot. I’ve been working for the sports agency for the last six months. The best six months of my life.

“I don’t know about all that,” I muttered shyly, dropping my gaze to my salad. “They just need the help, not me per se,” I added, looking back up at her.

“Are we really telling ourselves that?” she asked, her eyes serious on mine while she stared at me.

Coco and I had met in law school. She’d graduated, whereas I had dropped out the last semester because my grandmother, who had raised me, got sick. I would have sworn that when I left school, we would lose touch. I’d seen it happen with others. Plus, it wasn’t like people in my life stuck around.

But it had been the opposite.

Coco never stopped being my friend and reaching out, constantly checking in on me. She was the one who had been by my side when I lost my grandmother. The only person I had in my life. When she heard there was an assistant position open at a sports agency in her building, she pushed me to apply.

“It’s the truth, Coco.” I shrugged. “I mean, you’ve seen them!”

“I have.” Her eyes softened. “And I’ve seen the way they look at you, babe.” She leaned in quietly. Her hand covered mine. “All three of them.” My face heated at her insinuation.

“Coco,” I warned, looking around hoping no one was paying any attention to us.

“I’m just saying.” She shrugged then popped another fry into her mouth before picking up her fork. “When it comes to those men, you would have your choice.”

“My choice?” My brows bunched. My choice of the three. That was the issue. I didn’t want to choose. “Or not.” She smirked. “Why choose?”

“You think I should hook up with all three of them?” I rolled my eyes even though my inner goddess was pleading for me to do just that.

Carey, Fox, and Ronan were not only stupid hot, but they were the kindest, sweetest, funniest guys I had ever met.

Ever.

“Hey, why not?” She shrugged, shoving a big bite of salad into her mouth while I played with mine. “Why do we eat this?” She groaned, making a face that had me smiling.

“Because we’re trying to be healthy. I pretend mine’s a cheeseburger.”

“That’s a good idea.” She smiled, her eyes lighting up. “So?
