NEVEAH

“What do you expect me to do?” I hold up my pants and show him the shredded fabric.

Luocre only grins and my stomach twists. It may be fucked up that he looks so damn good covered in blood as he tucks himself away, so good that I want to jump back into his arms.

I’m not sure when I stopped caring about what was right and wrong, but looking at his taunt muscles peeking through the torn fabric of his tunic and pants, I couldn’t give less of a fuck if I should want him or not. I do, and that’s all I care about.

“Put them on,” he purrs, stalking toward me, and delicious heat hums through my veins. He wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me flush to him. “What else?”

“They won’t…” I lick my lips as I stare up at him, my breath stuttering. “They won’t cover anything.”

“Good.” He pushes a hair behind my ear. “Let the whole city see my cum leaking down your legs.” He leans in until his lips are brushing the shell of my ear. “Let them see who you belong to.”

A shiver wracks my body, and I nod numbly, ever obedient when it comes to this elf. I don’t understand this power he wields over me, but I no longer want to fight it. I’m content letting Luocre consume me.

I step back slightly, enough to slip my legs into my pants. Luocre holds onto my elbow the whole time, helping me balance as I pull my clothes back in place.

I was right. They don’t really cover my ass, but when I see Luocre’s eyes as he turns me to check, I don’t mind it. His gaze heats my skin as they widen, his tongue swiping along his bottom lip as studies me.

“Come on.” His voice is deep and husky, and arousal starts to stir in my stomach again. “I’ll walk behind you.”

Luocre settles a hand on my lower back, guiding me out of the warehouse I was kept in. I barely notice the bodies, except for when he leans in and grips my elbow with his other hand as he murmurs. “Watch your step.”

The only thing I can focus on is him, his voice, his touch. I’m so blinded by it that I don’t even notice that we aren’t going the right way at first. We make it all the way to the miou district, standing at the edge of a row of townhouses before it starts to sink in.

“Luocre?”

“Hmm?” He doesn’t look down at me, but a soft smile plays on his lips.

“Where are we going?”

His body is mostly shielding mine, his hand never leaving my back, as he turns me down the walkway to one of the townhouses. “Home.”

A shiver runs through me, both fear and excitement as he holds a hand up. The light shimmer in the air tells me that there must have been a spell around the entrance to his property, one he let us through.

“I thought you lived with Rhiucra?”

He chuckles, shaking his head. “No. I’m rarely here, though. I tend to leave my few belongings at my parents’ in case of thieves, so I often go back there. I don’t often stay in one place.”

I nod along as he pushes open the front door. I can see what he means. There’s sparse furniture, and the whole place looks dusty.

“Besides,” Luocre continues, leading me to a staircase along the wall. “I like watching my brother get worked up because of my presence. I’d say that it turned out well, wouldn’t you?”

I grin as I look back at him, just behind me on the stairs. “I guess you could say that. I did get a stalker after all.”

He swats at my bare ass, and I yelp. “Don’t act like you didn’t want it.”

I giggle as we reach the second-floor landing. “Why have the house if you don’t even come here?”

“You never know when you’ll need a place to lay low.” He tugs me down the hall. “Or a misdirection. You’d be surprised at the number of people I’ve sent to my parents’ place while I’m an ocean away.”

I whip back to look at him. “You what?”

He shrugs one shoulder. “Don’t let Rhiucra fool you. He has plenty of blood on his hands.” He pushes open to a room that is surprisingly well-cleaned and furnished. A big bed sits in the center with rumpled blankets, and a small couch, table, and chair sit off to the side in front of windows that overlook the city.

Luocre runs his hand down further to cup my ass, giving a light squeeze as he nudges me toward a door off the room I didn’t initially see.
