She sighed. “Trisha, I hope you don’t regret what you’re doing.”

I regret a lot of things, but not telling Mikal that I love him isn’t one of them.

They called my flight to board. “I got to go. My flight is boarding. I’ll message you when I know more.”

“About Kevin or Mikal?”

“Both.” I ended the call and put my phone in my purse and headed to board the plane.

Calling Penny might not have made what I needed to do any clearer, she did point out one thing that I couldn’t run from.

I love Mikal. Does he love me back?

Before the pilot instructed us to turn off our cell phones, I sent Mikal a quick message.

GETTING READY TO TAKE OFF. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU WHEN I GET BACK.
