“Yeah, but this way we don’t have to clean up,” Knox says. “Besides, from the look in Bitsy’s eyes, I don’t think she would have survived a trip to the grocery store and back. She’s starving.”
I look over and laugh as I watch the tiny woman eat a muffin in less than a minute.
“These are so good,” she mumbles around her mouth full of food.
“Obsidian,” is called from the front of the diner. “Would you like some boxes to carry all of this in?”
Container after container of food is placed on the counter and I once again find myself laughing.
“Yes, please,” Knox blushes.
“Who wants to sit up front on the way back?” I ask as I pull out my phone. It’s vibrated twice in as many seconds. “Uh oh. We’re in trouble.”
Turning the phone, I let my friends read the message.
“You’re in trouble, baby.”
“Uh oh,” Knox says, much more forlorn than the way I said it.
Turning his phone I can understand.
“Little boy, you know we fucking hate it when you leave without telling us where you’re going. Get your ass back here. I’m half tempted to toss the damn rules out the window and turn your ass red before letting Blaze take his turn.”
“Oh my. What rules is he talking about?” I ask.
“Unless they’re in a scene with someone or are in a relationship with the person, they don’t spank them,” Knox says, his eyes wide. “Spanking, even the not fun kind, is very intimate. Spanking a Little is even more so.”
“This is something you agree to?” I ask, shocked to my very core.
I know he’s a Little but I didn’t know that spankings were part of that as punishments.
“Yeah,” he sighs. “Well, it will be something I agree to when I find my Daddy Dom one day. While Blaze and Steel are Dom’s and I respect and trust that dynamic between us they’re not my Daddy Dom’s and they respect that as well. That doesn’t mean they won’t try and ground me though.”
With a resounding sigh, he types away on his phone.
“We’re about to head back. We have breakfast.”
I hit send and pocket my phone.
“I’ll sit up front,” Bitsy says. “Sophie and Maddy, climb in the back and we’ll start handing you food.”
By the time all of the food is loaded up, Sophie and I each have a huge box on our laps with another between us and Bitsy is up front with a couple more bags filled with cutlery and plates.
“I can’t get to my belt,” I say as I try and move the box.
“Neither can I,” Sophie says. “Luckily the clubhouse is only a fifteen-minute drive.”
“Well, the guys might not even notice you two without belts because of the boxes, but they sure will notice if we don’t have them on. Buckle up, Bitsy.”
“I don’t understand their overwhelming need to keep us safe,” she complains. “They do know that I own a motorcycle, right?”
“And they’re more than aware that you speed on it as well,” Sophie laughs.
We hear multiple buzzes as our phones receive messages but none of us can get to them which causes us all to laugh.
In the past day alone, I’ve laughed more times than I have in years. I feel like I was meant to be part of this family.
King’s smile flashes behind my eyes and my heart skips a beat.
