“Til death, baby…” I whisper, brushing my nose against hers while I position my cock at her entrance. One small thrust and I’m gliding slowly into her warm heat. Pleasure climbs up my spine, and I swear I black out for a moment.

Elyse’s small whimper against my arm drags me back to the present, and the moment her tiny nails dig into my skin I feel the typical urge to take, to rut into her, until we’re both spent. I nearly give into it but then I feel her lips on my skin, and when I look down into her trusting eyes I know I can’t. I need to giveher what she deserves, what she wants. Shoving the shame and fear for that little boy who lost everything back down, I instead choose to make room for something better, a man with strength, respect, and dignity.

A man worthy of loving Elyse.

Our gazes are locked on one another, and even as we both start to pant, beads of sweat forming against my brow from the effort it takes me to fuck her nice and slow, I know this is what we needed to happen. I know this is what love should feel like.

Her grasp on me changes over time, becoming tighter and harder as she climbs the peak of pleasure. Grunting I adjust the angle of my thrusts, so everytime I fill her I kiss her swollen clit. The added pressure is exactly what she needs to get off, and her tight pussy quivers around my cock.

"Sebastian," she moans.

"Don't you dare fucking come without me, Elyse. Together, remember."

“Hurry…please…” Her moan is filled with desperation.

“Fuck, anything for you, Little Prey.” I pick up the pace, thrusting deeper, harder, faster. My muscles burn, and pleasure fills my gut. She is my fucking home. My beginning and end. The light creepings into all the cracks in my heart.

“Oh god. Sebastian…” Elyse whines, and squeezes her eyes closed as she falls off the edge, her silken heat contracting around my cock.

“So good, so fucking good,” I whisper into the crook of her neck as I explode a moment later, her release carrying me into my own. Her tight cunt practically sucks the cum from my balls, and I groan with pleasure, thrusting deeper, praying my seed takes root and I get her pregnant, giving us both the second chance at a life we deserve.

Her eyes drift close, and a sleepy murmur escapes. I pull a throw from the couch and tuck it around her, pulling her into the crook of my arm and placing a kiss on the top of her head.

"Sleep, Ely. I'll be here when you wake up. I'll always be here."

CHAPTER 21

SEBASTIAN

We both wake before the sun peeks into the windows, and from the moment Ely’s eyes open, I know today is going to be hard. An aura of anxiety surrounds her, and I try my best to let it go, but by the time we reach the kitchen I’m ready to come out of my skin.

I pass Ely a cup of coffee and then lean across the counter and take a sip of my own.

"Talk to me. It’s too early in the morning to be as anxious as you are. Do I need to take you back upstairs and help you work some of it off?” I wink, trying to be playful, but Elyse isn’t having it.

She tenses, casting her gaze away, even though I can still see by the set of her shoulders and the clench of her fists inside her hoodie sleeves that she’s anxious. "Not all of us can be cool as cucumbers.”

“What does that mean?”

“It means not everyone can talk about committing murder without having some type of fear of being caught, or worse, fear of it failing.”

“Do you really doubt we can do this?”

She shrugs, “I don’t doubt that you can do anything. I just wonder…he’s thesheriff.People will notice if he goes missing, and they’ll start asking questions.”

I give her a lazy smile and stand, adjusting the collar of my pressed white shirt so it lays the way I want. "Let them ask questions. Proof is what they need, and unless they can prove someone did something malicious, they have nothing.”

“I’m not a good liar, Sebastian.”

“I don’t need you to lie. Anyone who knows your father will know he had a list of enemies a mile long. It could be anyone. The likelihood of them sniffing around us is slim to none. Not with the money we have, and everyone knows money is power. The more money you have, the more control you have. Your father might be the sheriff, but that kind of power is superficial, otherwise known as authority. He’s replaceable. All I have to do is flash around enough cash, and all our problems will disappear. Those stupid enough to ask questions or dig deeper can be taken care of, too.”

"I can’t carry that kind of weight on my conscience.” She whispers. “Besides the one time, I don’t make a habit of murdering people.”

“I know, Little Prey, and I’m not asking you to carry that weight. Let me do it. Just know there is nothing I wouldn’t do to protect those I love and care about, including murder.”

Elyse takes a sip of her coffee and then frowns, “Do you think there is another way? Something not involving death? Could we pay him off? Make him disappear?”

"I know you don’t want to think about it, and I understand why, but there isn’t any other way to remove him from our lives. Money isn’t a big enough motivator for him, and we both know he’ll never disappear. As long as he’s alive, we will have the threat of him hanging over our heads, and the thought of living like that…of letting you live like that…not fucking happening.”
