Page 29 of Lie With Me

A bead of sweat rolls down my temple. My balls tense. Her walls begin to flutter as I say again, “Tellme you’re mine, Valentina. Be a good girl and tell me who you belong to.”

Her eyes finally shut, climaxing as she cries out, “You! I’m yours.”

“Open your eyes and look at me when you say it.” I’m so close as her pussy grips my cock, milking it as she comes.

She does as I ask, hands cradling my face as she tells me, “I’m yours, Tripp. As long as you’re mine, too.”

Something grips my chest. It’s warm and inviting and not at all unwelcome.

“I’m yours,” I echo, spilling myself inside her, kissing her until our hips slow and my cock stops twitching.

I lay on her chest, careful not to put my full weight on her as she begins to stroke my hair. “We’re fucked,” she whispers. “This is never going to work.”

“We’ll figure it out,” I murmur against her skin, pressing a kiss to her breast. “At least we have the attraction part down. Now we just have to figure out all the rest.”

Propping my chin on her sternum, I can feel her pulse beating, and I smile as a sense of calm washes over me. She smiles in return, pushing my hair out of my face. “What?”

“I think Leonard likes me more than you.”

She laughs and pushes me off of her. “As if.”

“So, how many other clients do you have tonight?” Tripp asks while he’s buttoning up his shirt.

His tone conveys that he’s still not happy about me taking clients, and I debate telling him I haven’t actually slept with anyone else since our night together. “No one else is scheduled tonight. I was just going to pick up some Confessional clients.”

As I slip my wings back over my shoulders, he comes up behind me and gathers my hair, waiting until I get them settled before gently skimming his fingers down my back as he releases my curls. “Well…I’m still here. I still want you to pretend to be engaged to me. And I still don’t want you to fuck any other men during our arrangement.”

“I haven’t,” the words leave my mouth as I turn to face him.

A crease forms between his brows, and it’s annoyingly endearing. Slowly, I shrug one shoulder. “Ihaven’t slept with anyone since you. I’ve done stuff like what we did tonight with Leonard, but I haven’t actually had sex with anyone.”

A breath leaves his mouth in a long exhale. “Because you felt it, too.”

“I won’t deny we had a great night together, Tripp.” I step around him to find wherever our masks landed when I pulled them off earlier. “But at the end of the day, this is still my job, and you’re stillyou.”

“What is that supposed to mean?” He takes his mask from me, his brows furrowed like I’ve offended him.

“It means that you’re rich, so you’re well-known. And you’re a different breed than I am. Guys like you can’t date women like me. It just ends badly.”

“Okay, first off, we’re not dogs. Second, guys likemedate women likeyouall the time. They’re just secretive about it. Third, I resent you for limiting me to the rich asshole category of types of men.”

He reaches out, the warm skin of his palm splaying over the garter belt I put back on as he pulls me to him. “You’ve already agreed. Which means we’re as good as dating now. And if you think I won’t want to spend every moment of our time together rolling you between the sheets, whether at my place, yours, or here, you’re very wrong, Viv.”

Of course, why wouldn’t you want your money’s worth?

The bitter thought releases its toxin through my veins as he holds me. Eventually, he’ll want to stage abreak-up, and I’ll go back to doing what I do best. Getting attached to the way he’s looking at me isn’t smart.

Yet, I still nod, trapped in his golden, mossy gaze. “Can we just figure this out one day at a time?”

“Why don’t you let me take you to lunch tomorrow? We can discuss it more then,” he offers, rubbing his thumb along the lace of the belt.

Reaching up, I secure my mask around my eyes and step out of his hold. “Sounds good. Are you going to stay and check out the rest of the club?”

The corners of his eyes crinkle as he smiles, and I hate the way it makes my heart skip a beat. “Nah. There’s nothing else here I have any use for.”

“Well then, goodnight, I guess.”
