The way Lindsay’s eyes dilated and widened at my words had me wanting to pull her across the table and have her right then and there.
I knew what it was to wait, and for a moment, I was grateful for it.
All that mattered was that my girl hadn’t let go of my hand all night. That the spark I adored so much was alight and lively in her eyes. The way that she’d teased me, the sass.
A groan left my lips as I led us back toward the elevators.
Of course, the little minx took advantage as soon as the elevator doors were closed.
I let her back me up against the corner, her hands on my chest, branding me as they wandered.
“Firefly,” I warned, knowing damn well that there were cameras pointed toward us. “No one gets to see you but me. You better be good until we get to our room.”
“Are you saying you don’t want to kiss me?” Lindsay sighed, pulling away. “Well, I guess if you feel that way–”
I spun her, pressing her against the glass of the elevators this time as I took her mouth without a hint of trepidation.
She tasted like raspberries and chocolate from our last dish, but beneath that all was something even sweeter. Her.
The little gasp that fell from her mouth had me desperate for more. I wanted to make her scream my name. I wanted her to beg me as I gave her everything I had and then more.
The bell dinging was enough of a sign to get me moving. I swept Lindsay into my arms, my mouth never traveling far from her tantalizing skin.
I barely made it to our door when I realized the key was still in my pocket.
“Front right side,” I told her. “Grab the key because I’m sure as hell not letting go of you anytime soon.”
“I like the sound of that,” she said, her hands reaching down to my pocket.
Her touch was teasing, dipping deeper than needed and brushing against my length. I’d been hard for hours, and it was a miracle I hadn’t popped a seam on my pants.
“Lindsay,” I growled, my chest rumbling. “Key. Now.”
She chuckled, a low and sultry sound as she finally pulled the key from my pocket and held it in front of the sensor. As soon as the light was green, we were in, wasting no time at all as we made our way toward the king bed that took up the majority of the space.
The room was gorgeous, I’d seen to that earlier. But there was nothing I wanted to look at more than my woman.
I laid her down against the bed, her blonde hair spilling across the pillows as my hands trailed down the satin of her gorgeous dress, my hand pausing at her ankles as I began undoing the buckles of her heeled boots. I pulled them off and tossed them to the side, toeing my own off before I joined her on the bed.
My hands flowed upward, taking in her soft skin before disappearing under the edge of her deep-sapphire dress. Her iris and amber scent deepened and I couldn’t wait until I was absolutely bathed in it.
“Are you going to stare all night or are you going to actually follow up on those promises you made, alpha?”
The word on her lips had me turning almost feral.
“Say it again,” I urged, rucking up her dress until it was bunched around her hips.
She hummed, her hands coming down to stroke the obvious wet patch in the naughty lace panties she wore.
“Mine,” I said, grabbing her hand and sucking her fingers into my mouth. “I’m the one who is bringing you pleasure right now, Lindsay. Me. Now say it again for me, firefly.”
“I think you’re going to have to remind me,” she shrugged.
My hands found the lace of her panties and I tore them from the body, ridding her of the offensive material that was shielding her from me.
“Adam!”
“Close,” I said, before digging my hands into her thighs and spreading her wide. “But you can do better than that for me.”
