Page 7 of The Night Before Christmas

Chapter Six

Lana

The sun isn’t out yet as I crawl out of bed. Jace and Atlas are both fast asleep still. My attempts to drift back into slumber were futile, as my thoughts continued to race. What happened last night is on replay in my head. I would never regret it.

But part of me is scared that things will be different now. What if everything feels weird, and it ruins our friendship? What if we become more than our casual friendship? All I know is those two crazy men mean more to me than anything else in this world.

Before I can spiral more, a gentle set of arms wrap around my waist, pulling me back into a hard chest. “What’re you doing awake this early on Christmas morning, Princess?” I melt into Jace's arms, enjoying the warmth radiating off his chest.

“Couldn’t sleep,” I tell him truthfully. “Hey,” he turns my body around so I’m forced to look at him. “I love you, Lana. You’re ours and we’re yours.” The fact that he knew what I was thinking without even having to ask should tell me enough.

“Now get your ass back in bed so I can show you exactly how much I love you.” Next thing I know, I’m being picked up and thrown over his shoulder and tossed on the bed right next to a very sleepy-looking Atlas. It doesn’t take but a second for Atlas to wrap his arms around me and pull me into his naked chest. “Mine.” He mumbles into my hair. The bed dips and the warmth from my two men lulls me back to sleep.
