“Well, it’s a good thing we satisfied that, for now at least. Is it wrong that I want you to go to that dinner smelling like me?” Vance asked with a smug smile on his face.

“No, but I’m showering anyway,” I teased, giving him one more kiss before pulling myself from the bed. I managed to ignore the ache between my legs and went into the adjoining bathroom.

Thankfully the alpha didn’t follow, giving me a moment to throw my hair into a knot and washing myself as quickly as possible. In the end, he still won, since I used his body wash. I was still appreciative for the small moment to myself though, and how he’d grown to be able to read my needs so quickly. That was one of the things about Vance I appreciated so much, he was always there when I needed him and preceptive when I needed to process on my own.

He was also freshly showered and dressed by the time I came out. Now that the drive was over, I felt almost shy and unsure.

Then Vance was there, kissing me softly, and I let any doubt or shyness fall away. This was right, he was mine, and I didn’t care who knew it.

As soon as we came downstairs Riley was swooped in, breaking the moment in true Riley fashion.

“The audience awaits, are you guys done with your little moment?” he teased, raising an eyebrow at me.

My cheeks warmed at being called out, and he laughed easily, not jealous in the least. If there was ever a sign that this could work, Riley being so nonchalant was it.

“There’s nothing little about our moment, beta,” Vance said, stealing a kiss from him as well. “You’ll find that out soon enough.”

“Let’s go before mom sends out a search party,” I said, hooking my arm through Riley’s and letting him lead me back to the truck.

“I expect details later,” he hissed before climbing in, my laughter lightening the mood even further.

“A good girl doesn’t kiss and tell,” I said as I waited for Vance and Adrien to join us outside.

“Good thing you aren’t a good girl,” Riley snorted. “Now, do you want to take a bet on who gets the first embarrassing story?”

CHAPTER 17

Riley

Hearing Claire getting completely wrecked by Vance had given me such a damn hard on I was surprised I was still able to walk to the car.

Adrien’s hand closed over mine, taking the keys to the truck, and opening the door for me as Vance scooped Claire up on the other side.

“Good?” He asked me, with a wicked smile.

I pouted. “If I must be.”

I mean, it wasn’t like the alpha hadn’t completely obliterated me when we were inside. He’d taken me in his hand and whispered all the filthy things that Vance was probably doing to Claire, commenting on what he felt through their bond, until I was gasping and groaning and coming all over him.

I know he’s a skilled chef, but the man was a god damn technician. No one should be allowed to be that good with their hands and still be able to keep their head.

Especially not with Claire’s sweet slick basically coating our tongues.

“Ri?” Claire asked, seeming to sense my preoccupation and lifting her head off of Vance’s shoulder as Adrien pulled out of their driveway.

“I really don’t want to show up to my mom’s with a hard-on, Claire Bear,” I said with a groan. “You’re cute as fuck, and I want you always just as you are, but could you tone down the come fuck me vibes so we don’t crash off the road?”

A pink blush blossomed across her cheeks. “I’ll just have to save them for later.”

“You bet your sweet ass on that,” I said under my breath, leaning my head against Adrien’s shoulder.

His hand came to rest along my knee, his touch calm and reassuring.

“So give us a run down on everyone who is going to be there again,” Adrien said.

Awe, he wanted to make a good impression. From the purr that left Claire’s chest, she could sense it as well.

“The most important thing is to just be yourselves,” Claire said.
